How Long Does it Take to Produce Pin Albums?

All custom shaped pins are produced at our overseas factory.

All download backing cards are printed by Replicat in Australia.

Upon receipt of your sketches and images for the custom shape pin, we send these to our factory for a 3D design and quotation - based on the size and materials used in production. Solid metal, epoxy colour and epoxy dome over CMYK options are available and we'll recommend the best production alternative based on your design.

The 3D design and quotation process takes about a week and there's a nominal fee (currently $60+gst) to go through this design process, but this is fully refundable against an order once it goes to production. Within reason, we can produce an alternate design or two at no additional cost.

Once the design is approved, the pin production lead time is approximately 4 to 5 weeks plus 2 weeks shipping. It's not the fastest process we know, but it does tend to work in very well with vinyl production lead times if you're also pressing LPs with Replicat.

While the pins are being manufactured, you'll have plenty of time to upload your album to Bandcamp as a private no-charge album. Once you've done that, send us the codes and we'll do the rest. Guides for album and code creation are available here.

When the pins arrive, we'll send the download backing cards and pins to you separately. They're super easy to assemble (just fold pre-scored card, push pin through, put clip on back).

As with all Replicat album manufacturing, we're here to help and understand that you may have an urgent deadline to meet. Please talk to our team about your requirements and we'll work out master and artwork cut-off dates to suit.
