USB Flash Drive Duplication

Replicat can supply USB flash drives as either FAT formatted blank drives, or with data load.

1. FAT format blank drives

All we require from you is a drive name (up to 11 characters).

A screenshot proof will be provided via email for your approval to verify the drive name and capacity.

We will FAT/FAT32 format the USB flash drives, add the drive name and test the read/write functionality as part of this process. This ensures that all supplied drives are fully functional before delivery.

2. Factory data preload up to 1GB

We will need a drive name (up to 11 characters) plus a Dropbox upload of your files as a single ZIP file for us to extract to the root directory and copy to each flash drive.

A screenshot proof will be provided via email for your approval to verify the drive name and capacity, plus all files and folders as they will appear on the drive.

We will FAT/FAT32 format the USB flash drives, add the drive name and test the read/write functionality, then load the data. Your drives will be supplied pre-loaded and read to distribute.

3. Factory data preload above 1GB

The process is the same as for option 2 above, but we have a WeTransfer upload available to handle very large data loads as this is a bit faster than Dropbox.

We'll also need you to provide separate zip files no larger than 10GB each. We will combine all files and provide a screenshot to confirm we've received and compiled everything correctly.

4. Locked non-delete partition, free space partition

With any factory data load, we can lock the data on an separate non-delete drive partition. This makes it impossible for users to delete data accidentally. However, please note it is still possible to copy this content to the user's hard drive.

When we create the non-delete partition and load your data, we will also create a FREE SPACE partition. This allows a separate space for clients to save their own data, while still keeping your original files permanently on the drive.

5. Sensitive content data load

In addition to the factory data load options, we also have a high speed 31-port tower at our Richmond showroom. We can for an additional cost provide a Replicat owner supervised data load of your content.

For this option, we will require a physical USB drive of the same type/capacity as your purchased USB stocks containing all content exactly as required.

The tower can also be a useful option if content will only be available a day or two before an urgent launch. We can pre-format and print/engrave the drives, then receive into store prior to your data being available.

6. Copy protection

Some of our clients have used KAKASOFT copy protection tools to create an encrypted file that allows user access to materials but prevents users from copying content to their hard drive.

If you require copy protection, please check the KAKASOFT website directly for the cost and processes involved. Replicat does not sell or provide technical support for this service, but we're happy to accept and copy master files that have been prepared in the KAKASOFT copy protection shell.
